**Forms inside forms** display each connected record as its own customizable mini-form rather than as a row in a list. You choose which fields appear, how they are laid out, and how the buttons look.

## Why a list view is not always enough

A list of connected records is compact, but compactness is the wrong priority when each record needs real input.

- Fields cramped into columns that are hard to read
- No layout control over how related data is presented
- Everything visible, including fields irrelevant to this context
- Styling that clashes with the rest of the app

## Classic view versus Super Form view

| View | What it shows | Best when |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Classic** | Connected records as a compact list | Scanning many related records quickly |
| **Super Form** | Each record as a customizable nested form | Each related record needs real editing |

## How to configure it in Jestor

1. Open the form editor in **Jestor** and go to the connected table settings.
2. Switch the display option from classic to Super Form.
3. Select which fields of the connected record appear.
4. Use layout blocks — fields side by side, for example — as you would on any form.
5. Customize the button colours and background to match the rest of the app.

## Why choose Jestor for nested record editing?

**Jestor** keeps the classic option available, so nothing you already built changes when the new view is introduced. You switch per block, where the nested layout actually helps.

Conditional rules apply inside the nested form too — a field can appear only when another value crosses a threshold, exactly as on the parent form.
