How Can I Automate a Reminder for Upcoming Board Meetings?
You automate board meeting reminders by connecting the scheduled meeting date to a notification triggered ahead of time, sent to every board member automatically. On Jestor, this runs through automation tied to the meeting date field.
Board meetings tracked only on an individual's personal calendar risk being missed by some board members, especially if the meeting cadence is irregular.
What untracked board meeting reminders cost
- Board members missing a meeting because no one reminded them in time
- Inconsistent attendance from a lack of systematic reminder practice
- No organization-wide visibility into when the next meeting is scheduled
- Awkward follow-up chasing board members individually to confirm attendance
How automated board meeting reminders work
- The scheduled meeting date triggers a reminder a defined number of days before
- The reminder reaches every board member automatically, not just some
- A dashboard shows the next scheduled meeting and its agenda status
- Nothing depends on a single person remembering to notify the board
Why Jestor fits this use case
- Automated reminders reach every board member consistently, not selectively
- This reduces missed meetings from inconsistent, manual notification
- Organization-wide visibility removes the uncertainty about the next meeting date
- This scales from a small board to a large organization with multiple committees
