How Do I Keep Agronomist Visit Notes Linked to Each Field?
You keep notes by recording each visit as an entry linked to the field, with date, observations, photos, and recommendations, and by turning each recommendation into a task with an owner and a deadline. On Jestor, this runs through Forms, a visits table, and Tasks.
Agronomist visits generate valuable advice, but it often ends up in a message thread or a paper note. Recommendations are forgotten, or applied late, and the farm cannot later show what was advised and what was done.
What lost visit notes cost
- Recommendations never applied or applied too late
- Advice remembered differently by each person
- No link between observations and later results
- Difficulty showing buyers or auditors that technical guidance was followed
- Repeating the same questions at every visit
How visit tracking works
- Each visit is a record linked to the field and the agronomist
- Observations and photos attach to the entry
- Recommendations become tasks with deadlines
- A history shows what was advised and what was done
Why Jestor fits this use case
- Technical advice becomes action
- Results can be compared with earlier recommendations
- Records support audits and certification
- This scales from a few fields to large farms with many advisers
